Gary Grewal

Gary Grewal Gary Grewal is a true ‘one club’ man. He’s the ultimate OCA loyalist. Since moving to Canada at the age of 15, he has lead the OCA at U16, U19 and every single senior tier from 3rd Division to S9.

Before moving to Canada, Gary played at the famous Mohali Cricket Academy alongside the Indian cricketers such as Gurkeerat Mann, Manpreet Gony, Simi Singh (Ireland), Sunny Sohal and Jaskaran Buttar.

A leader on and off the pitch, Gary has captained his high school teams in India, New Zealand as well as Canada. He’s a natural leader of men and an efficient man manager as well.

As an apprentice to Derek Perera, Gary developed a keen eye for coaching and scouting and he’s mastered the skills quickly. He’s learned all the trick of the trades from Derek and believes in developing athleticism and tactical awareness along with the technical prowess among the budding cricketers.

A big advocate and follower of isometric and triphasic techniques that Steffan Jones has made popular on the international cricket circuit, Gary believes in executing those while coaching and training fast bowlers. Gary having attended several OCA Fast Bowling Camps with Steffan Jones and world recognized Ian Pont, has shaped his coaching methods on these proven methods from world class coaches.
