Sunil Khandor
A teacher by profession, Sunil Khandor has been involved in coaching at the Ontario Cricket Academy since 2006, after first starting as a player. He has coached at all levels, helping shape the academy’s national players all the way to beginners as young as 5 years of age.
Sunil’s passion for cricket and seeing players achieve their goals has been a great driving force for him and he’s a man committed to the development of cricket in Canada.
As a player, Sunil has represented Canada at the U-23 level as a fast bowler. In addition, he has had playing stints as an overseas player in the UK, and gained valuable experience in Australia while pursuing his teacher’s certification.
For the Ontario Cricket Academy, he’s played at all levels and helps young players along the way with his astute knowledge and study of cricketing nuances. Being one of the fittest members of OCA&C’s senior core, he has helped to implement various ‘Strength and Conditioning’ programs for the benefit of all age groups.
In collaboration with Coach Derek Perera, they have developed Sports Performance programs specifically for Batting, Bowling and Fielding which paid great dividends in the development of the academy players.
Sunil has completed his Cricket Australia Level 2 coaching course and has an ambition to develop and nurture youngsters into taking up cricket as their career and be good at it. Sunil wants to build a foundation for the youngsters in Canada to take up cricket, enjoy it and succeed at it putting Canada on the cricketing map of the world.
