Jaskaran Singh Buttar
Jaskaran Singh Buttar “Jassi” is a highly recognized and respected Indian cricketer who has not only represented India “A” as a young fast bowler on tour to England in 2010, but has played in the early editions of the IPL for the Deccan Chargers. Buttar has been playing in the Ranji Trophy for the last 13 years, having first represented the ever powerful Punjab team alongside some of the most famous names in Indian cricket. Most recently, he has been playing for the Chandigarh team under the captaincy of Manan Vohra.
Buttar is no stranger to OCA, having come over to play as an overseas guest player in 2012 (becoming the first IPL player to play in Canada), and then 2014 and 2018.
From the very beginning, this towering individual has fit in as family within the club and has helped to mentor many of our up and coming players with advice, guidance and support in their careers.
His experience of having played with and against the greatest players in the world comes as a huge asset for our players and young students- and he is always willing to share his knowledge for their betterment.
In recent years, he has become one of the most sought after players in the rapidly growing North American T20 scene, with his powerful, clean strike batting and brisk pace.
